KoreanTalk ("we", "our", "us") is developed by Shoktree. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you use the KoreanTalk mobile application ("App").
By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the App.
a) Device Identifier
A random identifier is generated locally on your device when you first open the App.
It is never linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail.
It is used only to enforce daily usage limits and prevent API abuse.
b) Conversation Content
Text messages you send during practice sessions are transmitted to our API server
(hosted on Vercel) and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses.
We do not store conversation content on our servers after the response is returned.
Anthropic may retain data per their own
Privacy Policy.
c) Usage Data (stored locally on device)
Session count, minutes practiced, and ads watched are stored only on your device
using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
d) Purchase Information
In-app purchases and subscription status are handled by RevenueCat. We receive
anonymous entitlement data (e.g. "user has Pro"). Payment details are never shared with us.
See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
e) Advertising Data
We use Google AdMob to serve ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device
identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation, subject to your consent
(see Section 4). See
Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for marketing purposes.

On iOS, the App requests permission to track you across apps and websites using Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You may deny this permission; the App will continue to function, but ads may be less relevant.
You can withdraw consent at any time in your device Settings.

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
