Welcome to KoreanTalk – AI Korean Tutor ("App"), operated by Shoktree ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
By accessing or using KoreanTalk, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App or its content.
KoreanTalk offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
KoreanTalk also offers an Ad-Free one-time purchase ($4.99) that permanently removes ads for the account that made the purchase. One-time purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Free-tier users may access limited daily conversation time. Additional time can be unlocked by watching rewarded advertisements served by Google AdMob. Free-tier users may see banner advertisements within the App.
You agree not to:
All content, features, and functionality in the App—including text, graphics, logos, and software—are the exclusive property of Shoktree or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The App uses third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to generate conversational responses. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. AI responses are for educational and practice purposes only and should not be relied upon as authoritative language instruction.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shoktree shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Korea.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
