This Privacy Policy describes how Shocktree (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PitchCoach mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Slide decks (PDF) you upload for analysis.
- Audio recordings of your presentation rehearsals.
- Account information (email) if you sign in.
1.2 Automatically collected
- Anonymous device identifier, OS version, app version, language preference.
- Crash reports and basic usage events (screens visited, features used) β no personal content.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Subscription status from RevenueCat (when you purchase).
- App Store / Google Play receipt validation.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide AI-powered analysis (transcription, content alignment, pronunciation feedback).
- Operate and improve the App, fix bugs, prevent abuse.
- Send service notifications (e.g., subscription renewal, daily practice reminder if enabled).
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Where Your Data Goes
- Audio recordings are sent to our backend (Cloudflare Workers) and Google Gemini API for transcription/analysis. Recordings are deleted within 24 hours of processing.
- PDF decks are processed similarly and deleted within 7 days.
- Account data is stored in Firebase Authentication.
- Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat.
We do not sell or share your audio recordings or slides with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your recordings to train AI models. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
4. Data Retention
- Audio: deleted from our servers within 24 hours of analysis. Local copies on your device persist until you delete them.
- Slide decks: 7 days on our servers.
- Analysis results: kept until you delete the practice or your account.
- Account data: kept while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
5. Your Rights
- Export your data (Settings β Export).
- Delete a single practice, all practices, or your entire account.
- Disable cloud sync (data stays on device only).
- Withdraw consent (uninstall the App).

6. Children's Privacy
PitchCoach is not directed to children under 13 (16 in EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete the data.
7. Security
- All network traffic is encrypted (TLS).
- Audio is encrypted in transit and at rest on our servers.
- We follow OWASP best practices.
- We will notify affected users within 72 hours of any data breach.
8. International Transfers
Our backend runs on Cloudflare's global edge network. Data may be processed in regions outside your home country. We ensure equivalent protection via standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you in-app of material changes 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
